OUR PROGRAMS

Campus Outreach
GP Thomasville’s largest outreach initiative reaches middle and high school students where they spend most of their time; at school. Campus based mentoring empowers students with life skill support and leadership development. On a weekly basis, students follow a comprehensive curriculum that covers topics such as goal setting, problem solving, building healthy relationships, wellness, and personal finance. Our motto to Reach, Equip, and Send is lived through touching students' lives directly and meaningfully. Approximately 70-100 students in five Thomasville/Thomas County schools participate every year, and our reach continues to grow.
Summer XL Leadership Program
GP Thomasville’s summer camp is a powerful and transformative program that serves middle and high school age students. During the course of six weeks, students prepare for their futures, and grow their leadership skills through interactive team building activities and character development projects, all while learning about the Gospel’s message and the books of the Bible. They learn how to pray and participate in daily devotions, as well as taking part in Biblical Games and other activities. Students work on their public speaking and soft skills. They are also taught the importance of giving and sharing, as they're led through community service projects that allow them to experience gratitude and fulfillment first hand. The camp culminates in an End of the Summer three-day trip that helps expand students’ horizons, and builds friendship and camaraderie, by visiting and touring a college campus, enjoying an amusement park excursion, and other fun learning activities.

Doulos Internship
In partnership with local businesses, the Doulos Internship is a paid part-time summer internship program for high school Juniors and Seniors. Doulos, a Greek word meaning servant, signifies our goal that all Doulos Interns become servant leaders. This empowering experience helps young leaders grow in their faith, while gaining skill- building work experience.

"Mentoring middle and high school students with life and leadership skills empowers and prepares them to be the best version of themselves. There is no greater cause than to help young people become strong, kind, ethical, and productive members of our society. I’m inspired by the ripple effects of our work and how they will continue to be felt in our community today and in the future."
